GlaxoSmithKline GSK sponsors students for MSc in Medical Statistics.
GSK is a world leader in the discovery of prescription medicines. Drug discovery is data driven; statisticians design and analyse scientific experiments to obtain the information which is necessaryto support major decisions. We employ more than 200 professional statisticians worldwide. They apply their mathematical and statistical knowledge in an exciting and challenging career, which will ultimately lead to the production of major new medicines.
To have sufficient knowledge to work as a statistician in the pharmaceutical industry, students studying for a first degree will usually need to complete an MSc in statistics. We consider it important to invest in the education of statisticians and will provide scholarships to enable students to study for an MSc. These consist of a maintenance grant together with all fulltime study fees*. Scholarship holders may wish to apply for employment at GSK at the conclusion of the course, and will be considered for vacancies at that time.

To be considered for a scholarship, you will have obtained or be expecting to obtain an upper second or first class honors degree in mathematics or statistics or in a subject with a substantial mathematics/statistics content.
