The Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization committed to improving the quality of the life of the people in Nigeria and elsewhere in sub-Sahara Africa.
ARFH was established in 1989 in response to the health and social needs of the disadvantaged groups in rural and urban communities. Since then, the organization has consistently responded to the challenges posed by HIV/AIDS, adolescent social, sexual and reproductive health problems, maternal and infant morbidity and mortality rate in Nigeria.
The transformation of ARFH into a viable and innovative national NGO is the result of the involvement of its founders complemented by skilled and dedicated staff in community-based reproductive health and family planning activities.
Our vission is to
enhance quality of life including reproductive health and rights of individuals and communities in Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa. And our mission is to initiate, promote and implement in partnership with other organizations, sustainable sexual reproductive and family health and other contemporary public health information and services for adults and youth.
Our main focus are:
• Training in reproductive health programme management and service delivery
• Managing community based reproductive health, family planning and HIV mitigation, care and support programmes
• Building the capacity of other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and community–based organizations (CBOs) through training, technical assistance, mentoring and monitoring activities
• Youth Development Activities and
• Operations Research

1.) Finance & Admin Officer - Bauchi:
The ideal candidate will assume direct responsibility for managing all the financial, logistics and administrative support functions for the State Project Office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with the State Team Leader and the Abuja office to ensure timely and appropriate cash flows matched with the operational needs of the state office and budget forecasts.
• Preparation and timely submission of monthly financial reports; including accurate keeping of books of account for the state office.
• Process all approved payments in line with standard practices with appropriate supporting documents
• Provide administrative and technical support to the CBOsto ensure that all advances are retired and reports are prepared and submitted on a timely basis.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have first degree/HND in Accounting or other related social sciences. Also required is a minimum of five years working experience, strong skills in Microsoft Word. Excel and QuickBooks. Excellent analytical interpersonal and communication. Experience in managing USAID grants and familiarity with Nigerian NGOs contractual procedures is a must. Relevant higher degree will enhance applicant's chances. Familiarity with local tradition and language is highly desirable.

2.) Driver - Kaduna:
The ideal candidates will be responsible for the maintenance care and safe driving of all project vehiclesin the state and in other locations as required; and to assist in providing logistical support and assistance as needed for all project activities and operations.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must have at least a diploma, a full and clean driving license withat least 4 years experience of professional driving, prior experience as a driver in an international NGO. UN agency or private company, certification of driver mechanic trade test, good verbal communication and listening skills as well as strong oral and written English language communication skills. Familiarity with local tradition and language is highly desirable.
