The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in pursuance of her mandate of producing globally competitive manpower in order to bridge the digital divide and transform Nigeria into an Information Technology capable country, has established a scholarship scheme for Post Graduate (PG) studies in Master’s and Doctorate (PhD) degrees in relevant areas of information Technology (IT) obtainable in National and international Universities.
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is the clearing house for IT projects in the public sector in Nigeria. The Agency is committed to the drive to bring government and its services
closer to the people through IT. Entrusted with the implementation of the National IT policy, which
seeks to make Nigeria an IT capable country in no distant future.

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) invites applications for the NITDA Scholarship Scheme 2012 / 2013 Programme
Criteria:
The scholarship award is strictly based on merit and covers equally the six geo-political zones for PhD and the 36 States and FCT for M.sc.

Duration:
The Masters programme will run for one year while the Doctorate programme is expected to run for three years.

Eligibility:
PhD: All citizens of Nigeria with MSc in any Information Technology related field are eligible for sponsorship.

MSc. All citizens of Nigeria with First Class or Second Class (Upper) Honours Bachelor’s Degree, (B.Sc) in Information Technology related field.
