FG To Create 30,000 Jobs For Nasarawa Indigenes : Information Minister

Minister for Information, Labaran Maku has said that 30,000 jobs would be provided for Nasarawa State indigenes under the Federal Government’s Public Works Empowerment Scheme for women and youths.
Maku, who urged the people of Nasarawa to keep faith with the PDP administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, announced this at Awe, headquarters of Awe-North during a rally in preparation for the by-election to fill the vacancy created by the deathof Yakubu Faransa in the state House of Assembly.
The minister said 10,000 jobs would be created by the Federal Government annually in the state in the next 3 years in line with its plans to empower the people.
The minister expressed delight over the quality of work on the Lafia-Awe road, which is being carried out by the Federal Government, adding that the project would be extended to Tunga, a border community with Taraba State.
He advised PDP supporters in the area to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the election.
